During a session with Kathleen, she may use one or more of the following modalities for the best outcome:

Acupuncture:

By the insertion of one or more needles–the smallest on the market–at acupuncture points on the body to help the body use it’s own ability to return to well being.

Herbs:

Chinese herbs are often given as an adjunct to acupuncture.  Kathleen typically has her patients to take herbs in a pill form as they are the most palatable.  Kathleen works with herbal companies with reputable and knowable sourcing of their herbs.  Quality and safety are foremost of importance.

EFT or Emotional Freedom Technique:

EFT is a method of tapping, rather than needling, acupuncture points to help release negative emotions that have caused or resulted from physical symptoms.  Stress, trauma, and grief, for example, can lead to neck stiffness, migraines, and/or digestive issues.  EFT is just another way of resolving the emotional aspect of any dis-ease.

Cupping:

Suction cups can be applied to the skin to help alleviate many conditions.

Moxibustion:

This is a comforting herbal technique in which the warming herb mugwort is applied above areas needing a boost or needing to relax.

Tui Na:

This is an energizing yet relaxing Chinese massage that can increase the range of motion of painful or stiff areas.

Sho ni Shin:

Children are treated using the “silver surfboard” or “pokey roller” and even sea shells as an effective alternative to needles.

Blood Test Analysis:

By using functional blood test analysis, Kathleen can recommend nutritional supplements, dietary, and lifestyle changes to help blood test results–and health–to return to normal.
